Jungseok “Chester” Roh
CEO
Chester founded ABLAR Company with a mission to connect people and places both on and offline. With 13 years experience in M&A and taking companies to IPO, his most recent accomplishments include the founding and eventual acquisition of Tatter&Company by Google Korea, where he subsequently served as product manager. Before Tatter&Company, he founded two other companies, one of which also made IPO. He has also worked as a product manager of SK Telecom, where he developed intelligent personalization systems for mobile phone users. Chester received his bachelor’ degree in Management Engineering from KAIST.





Changsu Lee
CTO
Changsu joins ABLAR company with 10 years of engineering experience ranging from telecommunications to social networking. As Chief Technology Officer of ABLAR Company, he is responsible for the technology utilized in platform development. Prior to joining the ABLAR Company, he was a product manager of SK Telecom as well as the technical lead of GameON, a major online game publishing company based in Japan. Changsu is fluent in four languages and received both his BS and MS degrees in computer science from KAIST.



Jiyong Jung
Software Engineer
Jiyong’s expertise in product development comes from his various experiences as a software developer. Before joining the ABLAR Company, he worked as a developer of Nexearch for NHN, Korea’s #1 search engine. Jiyong was also one of Korea’s pioneers in mobile app development with his team winning a prize at the KT Econovation Fair. Jiyong received both his BS and MS degrees in computer science from KAIST.





John Simon
Software Engineer
For the past 7 years, John has become an expert in web service development by working at some of Korea’s most prestigious web-based companies such as Neowiz, 1Noon and NHN. His experiences have been invaluable in many facets of the ABLAR Company including text mining, performance analysis and maintaining scalability. John has received his BS, MS and Ph.D in computer science from KAIST.





Sun Jahng
Software Engineer
Sun’s 15 years of software engineering experience has culminated with his joining the ABLAR Company as an expert in internet infrastructure and web services. Sun has worked with Chester on a number of other ventures including Tatter&Company, where he developed Tattertools, Tistory and Textcube. He has also worked as a security consultant for Samsung Electronic’s semiconductor division as well as the lead developer of an intrusion detection system for INZEN. Sun graduated with a BS in computer science from KAIST, where he often volunteers both his time and expertise to the benefit of the student body.





Sangmin Hong
Software Engineer
Before joining ABLAR Company, Sangmin worked for NHN developing advertisement and click validation systems. His prior experience in this field also include working for NCSoft. Sangmin received his BS in computer science from KAIST and recently spent two years traveling to over 30 countries on 5 continents.





Moonsik Kang
Software Engineer
Moonsik’s 12 year experience in mobile technology makes him a key member of the ABLAR Company. At NCSoft, Moonsik was responsible for creating smart phone applications such as Springnote and Openmaru. He was also instrumental in creating browser extensions, desktop photo management applications and online shopping services for NHN. Graduating from KAIST with a BS in computer science, Moonsik initially joined a small startup called Webtizen, which subsequently became a famous domain registrar in Korea.





Minsup Song
Visual Designer
Minsup’s diverse work experience in design ranges from creating game characters for TomisI&C and Cybergate to designing for JoongAngIlbo, one of Korea’s leading newspapers. He received his BA in fine arts from Seoul national University and his masters degree in graphic design from the University of the Arts London.





Hakyung Lee
Visual Designer
Hakyung joins ABLAR Company as a recent graduate from Hongik University, where she majored in visual communication design. There, she focused her studies on illustration, photography, advertising, video graphics and book editing. She was participated in the user experience design practicum which is a design training course at NHN, where she gained an interest in UX/UI design.





Yoonjin Lee
Product Manager
Yoonjin brings 7 years of user experience designing to the ABLAR Company, where she’s responsible for design and product management. Prior to joining us, she was a product manager at NCSoft as well as an user experience designer for D’Strict, one of Korea’s most creative web design agencies. She graduated with a degree in visual design from Duksung Women’s University and a masters in media design from Ewha Women’s University.





Meena Lee
PR Manager
Meena is the ABLAR Company’s public relations manager and brings with her 13 years of experience in the start-up industry. Her long list of accomplishments includes many successful ventures such as BonAngels, EMPAS, 1NOON, Tatter&Company and Enswers, many of which were later acquired by larger organizations. Meena graduated from Ewha Women’s University with a major in history.





Jeongkyu Shin
CSO
Jeongkyu’s experience and understanding of complex systems have made him an invaluable asset to the ABLAR Company. As one of Korea’s foremost experts on open-source projects, he has been sought after by many successful ventures for the past 9 years. Jeongkyu was a double major at POSTECH, receiving BS in both physics and computer science. He eventually received his MS in physics and is now pursuing his doctorate.





Sojeong Lee
CFO
Sojeong has played a vital role in many start-up companies before joining the ABLAR Company as the Chief Financial Officer. One of her most recent accomplishments includes the successful acquisition of Tatter&Company by Google Korea. Her ability to control expenses while maximizing production has not only been critical to the success of these start-ups, but have come as a welcome relief to the many investors she’s dealt with.





Junsoo Kim
Product Manager
Junsoo studied Business at Korea University. During his tenure there, he’s taken courses in Business strategy and finance which led to internships at Deloitte Consulting and Tri-d Communications, where he took part in establishing globalization strategies for major companies and earned experience in business concepts respectively.





Minsung Kim
Managing Director - USA
Minsung joined the Ablar group in 2012 as Managing Director of US operations. In the past. he has worked as a project manager for Hanjin Shipping and financial analyst for LG Electronics. He was also an analyst for the Baltimore City Mayor’s Office during the Martin O’Malley administration. Minsung is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University with a BA in Economics.
